James' came to my studio with his mom, Ann, and his sister, Nicole. Most high school guys do not like having their portraits taken, and to do a split session, both in studio and out, is a major undertaking of time away from doing other things. (50/50 Senior sessions run anywhere from 90-120 minutes)
Everyone has their own ideas about a Senior session. Mom wanted a little bit of formal (hence the shirt and tie) and a mix of casual (the basketball uniform, the polos and the t's) I'm sure James, just wanted it to get over! (OK, that's not true, James really wanted to show his love of basketball, but wouldn't bring in a game controller!)
James likes video games and basketball. His favorite team is the Miami Heat, which means he's got to be happy that they repeated as NBA Champions! He takes a lot of business classes, and although I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him, he seems like a pretty terrific kid. And did you see those big blue eyes? I think they even turned my grey background slightly blue.
James is undecided on colleges, but his mom is hoping UW-Eau Claire, her Alma mater. Being married to a UWEC alumnus. I can personally attest to the fact they produce some remarkable people!
Memories in Time Photography wishes James a memorable Senior year at Eden Prairie (Go Eagles!) and the best of luck in the future.
