An Open Letter to My Daughter

I wanted to share with the world, the deep love I have for my daughter.  She is nothing less than remarkable.  I know in the years to come she will do great things that will change the world.  There is no stronger bond between a mother and her child, and this is especially true between me and my daughter.  My greatest joy in life has always been about being a mom.  I wake up each morning and my first thought is about my children, and at night before I close my eyes and fall asleep, they are my last thoughts and I say "Thank You" for being blessed with them.

To my Baby Girl,

"What would I do, if I didn't have you to wake up to each day?  Who'd take my troubles and put them in bubbles and make them burst away?"

I knew from the moment I first held you that you were destined for great things.  I'm in awe of you, and look, I've had a front row seat to watch you grow into the person you are becoming.

Despite how easy you make everything look you have stumbled.  You will continue to stumble and fall; succeed and fail; but you will always stand up again..  Life will kick you, but always try to fall forward.

Never forget who you are and where you came from.  Be humble as you rise, treat the pauper like you would the prince.

Believe there's a higher power, even if you believe that higher power is something inside you.

Give back aand volunteer.  Not only will it help those around you, it will make you better, too.

Remember the words please and thank you.  Smell the flowers in a garden.  Watch a perfect sunset and sunrise, and dance in the rain.

Always remember that I have your back, even from a world away.

It's ok to cry; it's ok to fall in love, it's ok to be sad, and yes, my brilliant child it's ok to be happy.  Fully embrace all of your emotions, because it helps you to grow and experience everything that life has to offer.

And always, always, ALWAYS know that my first greatest gift in life was you and no matter where you are in the world, my heart goes with you ~ everywhere.  Now it is your time to fly; to soar to amazing heights.

I'm so proud of you...  I love you, so much more than words can say.  And yes, I love you more....
