Today I'm lucky!! I have a guest post to share with you by Leah Tollefson from Munch Munch Cupcakes. I was recently blessed to have photographed a wedding where Leah's business provided the cupcakes for the reception. They were delicious, flavorful and so yummy that I decided that I had to ask her to write a guess blog for me. If you're looking for tasty treats for your next event call Leah and (612) 817-1285 and tell her Cara send you!
Munch Munch Cupcakes
I really love butter. My uncle likes to tell me that growing up, I wouldn’t start a meal without the butter dish conveniently placed in front of my dinner plate. And I believe it. Glowing, creamy, fatty, deliciousness. And now, a good butter is the backbone for my cupcakes. I may have grown up a bit, but some things never change.
With quality ingredients like butter and vanilla, the taste is on par to those fancy, tiered wedding cakes. Bring it, because cupcakes are now a fierce competitor in the wedding cake arena. In the past decade, cupcake popularity has risen dramatically, and it seems logical people look to cupcakes as an option for their wedding. In fact, they have many winning traits to serve at your event.
Cupcakes are versatile. They can be fancy for the most black tie affair, or they can be low key for your barn wedding. With so many styles and flavors, you can really tailor it to what you want. Because at the end of the day, cupcakes can be as individual as you are. And the flavors don’t have to stop! My last wedding clients had 5 different flavors. Guest were able to choose their favorite kind and everyone was happy. Because anyone that makes you choose between a German chocolate and a carrot cake cupcake is evil in my book.
Cupcakes are also so easy to serve. Already portioned out, there is no need for forks and knives. It is a huge reason my clients like to serve my treats at work functions, too. Cupcakes are less hassle than your standard cake to dish out to your guest. Less plates, less napkins, less cleanup – think of all the extra time and energy to devote to other things, like knitting or roller derby! Or just eating a second cupcake.
My favorite part about cupcakes is the pure simplicity of the treat. No matter what you do to the cupcakes, all of them are just a wholesome bite, a little munch munch, of love.
And butter. Tons of butter.
