Motivation Monday

   OK, it's time for another program.  I really liked Kris Gethin's 8-week Hardcore Trainer, but it's over and time for something new.  Along comes "pop ups" on Facebook..  And specifically this: 90 Day Bikini Transformation

  And to be honest, I thought, "Why not?"  For $19, it seemed like a good deal.  Heck, I've spent so much more than that on books and magazines, supplements and protein powder.  And as a small business owner, like Rudy, I know the importance of actually buying and having faith in the provider; the importance of supporting another small business owner.

  There is a designated day off.  The program, as written, has that day as being Thursday.  That doesn't work for me.  I'm a 5AM workout person, the only day I don't is Sunday's when the gym doesn't open until 8.  So to make the program work for me, I start my workout week on Thursday, with my rest day on Sunday (which is good, because I don't want to go hard the day after a wedding!)

   I'm 4 workouts into the program.  I'm liking it.  I'm feeling a little DOMS. The total concern is food and eating.  After a few messages with Rudy in the Facebook group, a decision was made for me to skip the high carb days to benefit my diabetes.  I will basically have 4 days of moderate carbs with 3 days of fairly low carb (but high in protein so I'm getting enough calories)

   Although the scale weight last week was 153.5#, it's not the scale weight that I care about. I want to get leaner and build more muscle and definition.  Follow along on my journey!  And please leave me a comment of support.  It truly helps me to stay dedicated!
