Operation Glass Slipper

I was blessed this past weekend to be involved with a remarkable organization called, Operation Glass Slipper.  It's an AMAZING group to be involved with.  I spent two days; the first as a Fairy Godmother turning girls into Princesses, the second as a photographer documenting the wonderful transitions that occur and the great group of volunteers.

I think it's important to "pay it forward"; to give back to the community where you live.  This is another way for me to give back.  I'm lucky, I have everything that I need and most of what I want (although I wouldn't mind a yearly cruise, size 6 jeans, and a few less wrinkles)  Can you imagine how much better our society would be if we all volunteered in whatever capacity we could?  I'm challenging you to make this year the year you get involved;  volunteer at a food shelf, give books to a local book drive, spend a few hours at a Nursing Home.  Please let me know what you've done, I want to hear about it.

Also, there are many pictures of this event on my Facebook page.  Follow the link on the home page to get there.  Thanks to Operation Glass Slipper for giving me the opportunity to help.  Much love to all of you!
