I pretty much never hesitate to jump into a picture with my kids. Despite having messed up hair, washed out make-up, or needing to lose 20#, I rarely ever say "no" to a picture with me and my babies...
So many women can't say that. They worry that they aren't dressed right, worried that they're too fat, worried, worried, worried... But why? We all have our flaws. Even super models (and Beyonce and Madonna) are photoshopped in their approved portraits. I LOVE seeing untouched pictures of celebrities and know that they aren't as perfect as we think they are.
With it being Mother's Day yesterday, I realized that I really didn't have many pictures of my mom and me. I do have a formal one on my wall, taken when I was 10 months old, and of course there were the occasional one taken at my wedding, but overall, you wouldn't get the idea that my mom had children other than the grey hair, and the wrinkles from lack of sleep and pacing the floor at all hours.
My kiddos, on the other hand, have too many pictures of me to count. Me with them, me by myself, me with their dad (my adorable, VERY handsome husband, Mike). You get the idea. When they're 90 and when my grandchildren are 90, I want them to have pictures to remember how much life and love we had in our family. I want them to remember the vacations, the pets, the silly times, and the celebrations. I want them to feel and remember the great love I've always had for them.
While Mother's Day is over, it's never too late to capture your "Memories in Time". Call today and book your summer session. Any on-locations session before August 31st is $50 off. For the price of taking your family out to a casual meal, you can have your session and prints to adorn your walls.
Yep, there's definitely a family resemblance here!
