I LOVE the glamour of a formal bridal session.  Beautiful images of a beautiful bride.  Bridal sessions are a GREAT opportunity for the bride and the photographer to get to know each other and become comfortable with their interactions and communication patterns.  I do a lot of non-verbal directing.  I point my fingers to show direction, or how to turn your head; I imitate swooshing my hair to show which way I want hair to lay or to show my brides that their hair is hanging in their face.  This is also a great time for us to talk about what you're looking for in your wedding images.  Do you want more up-close poses or distant dreamy images, or a good combination of the two?

   Bridals are a great opportunity for a final walk though of your dress, hair and make-up.  It's a "dress rehearsal" for the big day.  It's a great way to decide, especially after you see your proofs, if you like your chosen hairstyle; if the make-up lasts as long as you want; do you need a different shade of lipgloss?  And since we walk somewhat, are your shoes as comfortable as you would like, or do you need to plan a back up pair?

   These sessions are fun; we laugh, we dance, we talk, and sometimes, I even sing!  These are relaxed moments before the big day.  We take our time, We don't rush.  Afterall, we're not in a hurry to get to the altar or to rush off the reception.
