Susan Hicken was sent to me as a referral from a dear friend of mine.  Her and her husband, Shaun, have 3 boys ranging from 12 to 21.  She wanted family portraits prior to her middle son, Nathan, leaving for his two year mission. 

Epic Fail...

   Now, if you live in Minnesota, you know that Spring hasn't been the nicest here.  It's been cold and fairly rainy.  Early in the month, there was even a huge snow storm that caused most of the area schools to either start two hours late or out right cancel.  Trying to find a day with decent weather, wasn't looking too promising.

   We chose a date, crossed our fingers and hoped for the best.  When the day arrived, at least, it wasn't raining.  The soft colors of spring weren't there like we had been hoping, but we found green in the amazing evergreens that dot the trails of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
