The Importance of a Wedding Planner

The dress, invitations, venue, decorations, flowers, cake---planning a wedding is a huge undertaking! Something that should be an exciting project can turn into a stressful chore. Many variables go into designing and orchestrating The Big Day, and hiring a wedding planner/coordinator to lighten the load should be the easiest decision you make.

Less Time Lost

Planning a wedding takes hundreds of hours; that is time that many couples cannot spare. A wedding planner will save you time and energy by contacting vendors and hashing out details. Many planners attend vendor meetings with or even for the couple. Wedding planners know specific vendor questions to ask and in turn many vendors feel at ease knowing a wedding planner is orchestrating the logistical details. And of course, planners are extremely experienced at making itineraries and timelines for all involved. Everything needs to happen on time!

Save Money

Weddings can be very expensive and hiring a planner may seem like one more check to write, but planners can actually help save you money in the long run! Wedding planners are familiar with helping couples set budgets and sticking to them. Planners most often have vendor recommendations based on personal experience and might be able to track down deals.  Wedding planners have worked on countless wedding and they know different ways to cut costs while still hosting an elegant event.

Minimizes Stress

The most important reason to utilize a planner’s services is to cut down on stress. This should be the biggest selling point, however many couples enlist their friends and family to coordinate all of the wedding day details, manage vendors, and handle any hiccups. The average wedding has at least 15 different vendors.  Combine that with the entire wedding party and all of the guests and that is a lot of people to corral! Family and friends are guests too, and they should be able to relax and enjoy the event. By hiring a wedding planner, couples can simply tell others “talk to the wedding planner!”
