Class of 2016
Senior of Distinction
Last week I made my own high school dream come true. I awarded a SCHOLARSHIP!!! Growing up in a working class family, I was too rich to qualify for any "needs-based" scholarship (my parents worked hard and paid their way through life), yet too poor to be able to pay for college. I earned a few academic awards, but mainly had loans and worked my way through. I decided I wanted, someday, to help make college a little bit easier for someone else.
That day came last week, Wednesday. For the first time ever, me, from little old Parchment Michigan, was giving a scholarship. While waiting my turn at the side of the stage to give my award, I pondered everything that had happened in my life to get me to this point. Wow, and then it happened...
"It gives me great pleasure to award the VERY first Senior of Distinction Award to"
Jordyn Anderson
JordynJordyn's Senior Portrait Sessioin
Yep, a Chanhassen graduate received my first award. EVERYONE who has their High School Senior Portraits taken my Memories in Time Photography is eligible. Jordyn will be going to St. Mary's University in Winona in the fall. Here's a little more about her:
Jordyn loves to play volleyball and has been playing since she was in the 5th grade. She'll proudly play at St. Mary's University. She has 2 brothers who she kind of likes, and only one that she sometimes wants to strangle. She loves to hang out with her friends, and her SUPER sweet boyfriend, Blake. She likes to travel and have fun.
Congrats, Jordyn!
