A Journey with a Wedding Photographer
If you've read my previous posts about my Fitness Journey, you will know that I have a desire to take my body to a point that defies my age. At this moment, I'm not sure where this point is, but when I get there, I'll know..
I've been a T1 Diabetic longer than I can remember, and I'm proud of the fact that I'm healthy than most NON-Diabetics. My cardiac risk assessment is 1.1, anything below a 7 is good, I guess that means I'm GREAT! I usually work out 6 days a week, and yeah, I'll admit, often that's 7 days a week. I lift at 5AM Monday-Saturday, if I work out on Sunday AM, you can pretty much be sure that there's a leg session involved there. Why? Well, I love my legs, I love to work them hard and see hoe strong they can get.
And what about cardio? Well, it's there.. I often do a minute of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) between sets, and when there's time 10-20 minutes of slow endurance cardio after the weight lifting. OK, and then there's the evening sessions. Likely 4-5 evenings a week, I'm back at the gym getting in cardio. I'm giving some thought to going back to running. I'd like to do a few races that I missed when I had the opportunity, mainly The Bloomsday in my former hometown of Spokane, Washington and The Borgess Run in my childhood hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
I'm proud to say, since January 2016, I've gone from 178# and 40.2% BF, to 153# and 27.2%. I hit one of my first BIG goals, to weigh what I did the day I got married. I've lost 30# of ugly fat while gaining 5# of muscle
Now it's about focusing on my eating, getting the diet dialed in. Follow along, leave me a little love and support. I truly appreciate ALL of the encouragement! It makes me work harder!
