There is grief, fear, anger, confusion, and exhaustion present all at once. People are hurting in different ways: families grieving loss, individuals feeling unsafe, and communities carrying the weight of uncertainty and pain. These reactions are human. They are natural responses to moments that challenge our sense of safety, justice, and connection.
In times like this, it’s important to remember that behind every headline, every role, every decision, and every statistic are real people with families, histories, and lives that matter. Complexity exists, and so does humanity.
I believe in choosing empathy, even when emotions feel overwhelming. In slowing down enough to see one another as human first. In leading with care, compassion, and dignity: especially when it’s hardest to do so.
Minneapolis, you are not alone. We hold space for grief, for reflection, and for hope that gentleness and humanity can guide us forward, even in the darkest moments. 🕯️
