The Importance of a Professional Head Shot

   As they always say, you only have one chance to make a first impression.

   I can't express enough how much that is true in the world of Business Head Shots.  When your customers or fellow business contacts, visit your website, what does your head shot say about you? What about your "Linked In" profile picture?  Linked In is used frequently for business networking; does your profile image represent you and your brand?  When your potential clients head to your website, do they see someone they would want to do business with; someone with a warm look in their eyes, smiling professionally and confidently from the screen or business card?

  Every day I'm on various social media (think Instagram, Linked In, Facebook Business pages, etc) and I'm almost always surprised by the image people choose to represent themselves on business platforms. There are those taken on vacation, there are those head shots, that are out of focus and blurry.  There are also the 2 worse head shot offenses; the image taken while dressed less than professionally (even worse than business casual), and worse, the bathroom mirror selfie, complete with water spots and toothpaste on the mirror!

  There is a subtle art to a great headshot.  You don't want something that looks like a snapshot.  You want an image that is taken by a professional, with proper lighting, angles, and clothing. You want an image the reflects you and your brand.  We will help you with clothing choices and various items you can use to get different looks without a lot of wardrobe changes.  For women that can be as simple as adding or removing a scarf, jewelry or jacket.  For men that can be simply done with different ties, and different colored shirts.

   Finally, people recognize me by my headshot.  I go to numerous conventions and networking events, where I have met several people who approach me and introduce themselves simply because they have seen my headshot.  It makes it easier for people to approach me.  They know it's me.  And to be honest, I like that!
