Tips for your Senior Portrait Session

Is it time to hire a Senior Portrait Photographer? Whether you hire me, or work with another photographer, I want to help you have the best Senior Portraits possible.  Over the next few weeks, I will include you in on a few things I tell my own clients.

This first tip is easy: GET A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE!  Yes, I did kind of scream this at you!  It really is that important.  There's nothing like yawns, dull skin and dark circles under your eyes to wreck the look of a bright-eyed High School Senior!

Come to your session with  the attitude that you're going to have fun! Your experience with Memories in Time Photography is going to be FANTABULOUS (I don't know if that's actually a word, but I use it, so I guess it is!) By the time your sessions rolls around, you've had several contacts with my team, including a phone consult, so hopefully, you're feeling comfortable with me. Personally, I think I'm fun to be around, and since I direct you on how to pose, you won't have to worry about how you're going to look (the more awkward and uncomfortable you feel, the better the shot!).

There's no one in the world that has your style, so play it up. Bring variety.  If we plan on photographing 3 different outfits, don't have them be 3 pairs of jeans and 3 t-shirts!  You might want to bring a pair of khaki's and a nice button-down.  Maybe your style is all about dresses, or  leggings, or even a suite, etc.  Just bring clothes that you are comfortable in and makes you feel AMAZING!  Are you in an activity? whether it's school sports, speech or something outside of the realms of school, bring something that shows what matters to you!

What about your pet?  Whether it's a dog, horse, llama, etc. If you want your fur baby in some of your portraits, let's talk about how to make that happen!

Whatever you wear, one thing is important: make sure all of your items fit - not too tight, not too loose.  Check to make sure that every item is clean, pressed and in good condition.  Nothing can wreck your look faster that clothes that are dirty, wrinkled, or don't fit right.
