How to Choose the BEST Photographer for you!
There are loads of great Minneapolis Senior Portrait Photographers on the market. If you don't choose Memories in Time Photography, I'd still like to help you find someone who connects with you and what you want for your portraits. Whether you're the parent, or you're the Senior, here are a few things to think about...
Style: There are a lot of Minnesota Senior Portrait Photographers out there, but what style calls to you? Maybe you like the soft look of natural light photography, or maybe you like the look of clear colors and well-lit portraits... Take a look at a few photographers websites, and decide which style you want for your portraits. Better yet, check out their Instagram pages. Do the images they show resonate with you?

Personality: Because of my background working with kids and families, I can generally fit the mood that you need. Is your child high energy? As a bodybuilder, I have the energy they need to help them truly enjoy their Minneapolis Senior Portrait Session. Is your child reserved and quiet? I have ways to bring your child out of their shell and help them to feel comfortable in front of the camera. Is your child laid back and relaxed? I'm pretty easy going and some may say, pretty funny. I can talk sports, lifting, Taylor Swift and just about all topics in between! A great connection between your Senior and the photographer really does make the difference in the quality of the images
Direction: Will the Photographer help you style your session? Do they have ideas on clothes, hair, props and locations? The last thing you want, or need, is to be left "flapping in the wind" when it comes to your child's Senior Portraits. Prior to your session with Memories in Time Photography, you will have received emails, links to our various blogs and a phone call/consult to help everyone feel at ease on the day of their shoot.
Investment: This should be the last thing on your mind, but usually, it's one of the first. Great portraits are priceless, but we know that everyone has their budgets. Ask your photographer about their packages and collections. Don’t forget, the cost of your photos is not just about the moment they press the shutter and take the image. You are paying for their knowledge and experience, processing, and equipment.
Product: What are you hoping to order? Do you need digital files to create your own graduation announcements and prints? Keep in mind some photographers don’t sell digital files (we do sell them!), so it’s important to ask before you book your session. Some photographers don’t work with professional labs and ONLY deliver digital files, so if you were planning to get a framed canvas portrait to hang over the fireplace, make sure your photographer offers that. Memories in Time Photography offers a wide range of products, from wall portraits to albums to prints, as well as digital files.
Book Sooner than Later: Good Photographers will fill up and once you've made your decision, book ASAP to insure that the date and time that you want is available. Many Senior Photographers book a few months in advance. The busiest months of the year at Memories in Time Photograph are July and August and the first part of September.
We are happily booking up! Do you want to get in on the FUN?
Cara was absolutely amazing! She listened to the ideas I had and included her own creative spin as well. The pictures turned out wonderful. It was a pleasure working with her! ~Maureen, Orono High School
