It was a beautiful sunny morning when I met with Bailee and Brian for their engagement session.  We had hoped to be at The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, the space I use as my outdoor studio, but COVID-19 cancelled out those plans.  Our amazing alternative became, Centennial Lake Park, a 24-acre park that is surrounded by several restaurants and shopping areas.  With all the different areas, you can get several different looks in one location.

Their Story

  Bailee and Brian met online through the bumble dating app. They talked for a few weeks, and then had their first date on November 9th, 2018 at Caribou Coffee.  Bailee believes coffee has a way of warming the heart and she wouldn't want to go a day without it, but at first, Brian had a different opinion on coffee. They enjoyed each other's company and that is where their journey began. That day the coffee wasn't the only thing to warm her heart... Brian Hynes did too! He has warmed up to coffee since then and now they enjoy a cup of coffee and the wonderful company of each other when they have a morning together.

  Brian got down on one knee and proposed at Rice Creek Park on February 29th, 2020.  His sister, Alissa, captured their special moment.  In Bailee's words, "My eyes filled with happy tears and my heart filled with love and pure joy. A proposal and the answer being "YES" was followed by a trip to Invictus Brewery where our family and friends awaited our arrival to celebrate with us. A day we'll always remember ."

  "We love making life an adventure, trying new things and making new memories every chance we get. Family, faith, and our dogs are most important to us. We cherish the time we are able to spend with family and friends and we love to walk and play with the dogs. We enjoy going to church together or watching it online. We love to stay active, working out together, ice skating, rollerblading, and hiking and getting outside. We enjoy trying new breweries, walking around the mall, supporting our sports teams, and playing cards/games with family and friends. We also love staying in, snuggling up together, and watching a movie. "
 

 "We happy dance every time we see each other. I love when he comes and surprises me at work. Bri happy dances when I drive up into the driveway and he comes outside to see me and meet up with me. Our dogs make us happy dance. A cup of coffee, a nice breakfast, and the company of each other make us happy dance. A Surly Furious, a Leinenkugel, a Truly, and a sweet hard cider make us happy dance. Successfully cooking/grilling a meal together make us happy dance. Smoochin' him makes me happy dance. "
